Important:
Specific medication instructions will be provided based on your individual medications and treatment plan.
Hydration
- Stay well hydrated the day before and the day of your procedure
- This helps improve the quality of the blood sample used for PRP
General Preparation
- Eat a normal meal prior to your appointment
- Wear comfortable clothing that allows access to the treatment area
During the Procedure
- A small blood sample will be drawn
- The sample is processed to isolate platelet-rich plasma
- PRP is then injected into the targeted area using precise technique
After Your PRP Treatment
PRP works by stimulating the body’s natural healing response. Mild symptoms after the procedure are expected.
Pain & Soreness
- It is common to experience soreness at the injection site
- Symptoms may temporarily increase before improving as this is part of the body’s natural healing response
Activity
- Avoid strenuous activity or heavy loading of the treated area the day of the injection
- Gradual return to activity is recommended
Medications After PRP
- Avoid anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs) for at least 1–2 weeks after treatment, unless otherwise directed
